Fine Art Photography is created in accordance with the vision of the artist as a photographer. Using photography as a medium to bring something to life that only lives in the artist’s mind. Animal and bird images will only be permitted into this competition if they contain substantial transformation to be considered fine art. Animal, bird, still-life, portrait and street photography images submitted into this competition should contain transformation or have significant artistic changes for it to be considered fine art.

In creating fine art photography, the photographer uses subjects and techniques as vehicles in the process of conveying a strong message, idea, a message, vision and/or emotion.

The entrant should make the viewer think about what they are looking at and possibly consider a different viewpoint than their own.
