Open Theme – Images submitted into this competition can come from a wide range of topics.

You are asked to submit your image into one of the following themes:

1. Close-up (achieving magnification of a subject by using lens and/or technique – reproduction ratio ranging from 1:10 to just below life size)
2. Person(s) (portraiture, candid, documentary)
3. Natural Landscape (country side, rural scene, varying terrain, seascape, waterscape, astronomical events, etc… – can include ‘hand-of-man’ and/or long exposure)
4. Urban Landscape & Architecture (can include low-light and/or long exposure)
5. Animals/Birds (wild or domesticated – ‘hand-of-man’ is permitted)

Open Editing – All different in-camera, on-camera and post-processing techniques can be used. This includes combining multiple images and elements in a final image. The entrant must have taken all components of the final images. Digital frame, pin-line, borders and mats are permitted in this competition. Colour, monochrome, infra-red and HDR images will be accepted.

Specifications

Submitted JPG image must comply with the following:

1. Dimensions: Maximum horizontal size: 1400 pixels and Maximum vertical size: 1050 pixels
   Note: One of the dimensions must be exactly the maximum allowed size and neither dimension may exceed the maximum pixels for that dimension
2. Colour Space: Should be sRGB
3. Colour Accuracy: Strongly recommend that you calibrate your monitor to ensure colour accuracy from your monitor to the image projected to the judges
4. Maximum filesize: 1.8 MB
