Image Discussion -Themes: North Shore Challenge, Monochrome, and Open
February 8, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Now’s your chance to get feedback on images you might want to submit for the North Shore Challenge and the CAPA Monochrome competitions. This is the 35th anniversary of the NSC. It’s an open competition, with all subjects eligible, and digital manipulation is allowed.
For the CAPA competition, here’s their description:
A sepia image is considered a monochrome image. A ‘duo-toned’ image is not considered a monochrome image for the purposes of this competition.
For the purposes of balancing out the judging for this competition, you are asked to submit your image into one of the following themes:
-
- Portrait (will primarily contain the likeness of a person(s) in which the facial expression is predominant but can be extended to include the entire body and the background)
- Double-exposure (a technique which exposes two or more images in a single image. Single image can contain individuals, landscape or other elements)
- Landscape (can include people, buildings, etc…)
- Man-made Structures/Objects (includes cityscapes, buildings, transportation, still life, table top photography, etc…)
- Birds/Animals (wild or domesticated – ‘hand-of-man’ is permitted)
Hand-of-man is permitted in all themes. Infrared images are permitted in this competition.
